TIG Welder

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding operations on pipes, plates, structural components, and pressure parts as per WPS (Welding Procedure Specification).
• Interpret and understand engineering drawings, isometric drawings, and welding symbols.
• Prepare materials and equipment before welding, including cleaning, beveling, and aligning joints.
• Conduct visual inspection of welds and ensure compliance with project quality standards.
• Work closely with fitters, fabricators, and QC inspectors to achieve optimal weld quality.
• Perform welding in various positions (1G–6G) on different materials.
• Maintain welding machines, torches, gas cylinders, and related equipment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Trade Certificate / Diploma in Welding Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years experience as a TIG Welder in construction, fabrication, or oil & gas industries.
• Valid TIG welding certification (6G preferred) from an approved body (ASME/CSWIP/AWS).
• Experience welding stainless steel, duplex, aluminum, and carbon steel.
• Ability to perform GTAW root and hot pass welding.
