Join our dynamic construction team as a Tile Setter and bring architectural visions to life through expert tile installation. This energetic role involves transforming interior and exterior spaces by laying tiles with precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. As a Tile Setter, you will work on diverse projects ranging from residential remodels to large commercial developments, ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install various types of tiles including ceramic, porcelain, stone, and glass across multiple surfaces such as floors, walls, backsplashes, and countertops.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute tile layouts and patterns.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate adhesives or mortar for optimal tile adhesion.
- Utilize hand tools (e.g., trowels, chisels) and power tools (e.g., saws, drills) safely and efficiently to complete installations.
- Perform surface preparation tasks such as concrete finishing, masonry work, or plastering as needed for tile installation.
- Conduct quality inspections during and after installation to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and drywall teams to coordinate project timelines and requirements.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal while adhering to safety protocols on-site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tile setting or related construction roles with a strong understanding of construction site operations.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., trowels, chisels), power tools (e.g., saws), and heavy equipment operation when necessary.
- Knowledge of construction management practices including estimating, inspection, restoration, and project coordination.
- Familiarity with related trades such as masonry, flooring installation, plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, roofing, glass installation, cabinet installation, framing carpentry, door hanging, painting, concrete finishing, welding, fabrication or remodeling is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Construction site experience with an understanding of schematics and blueprint reading is essential.
