Trader Manager – Agricultural Products

The Trader Manager will oversee and manage the procurement and trading of agricultural commodities across the GCC, with a strong focus on the Saudi market. The role requires market intelligence, supplier relationship management, and the ability to identify the right timing and pricing for purchases to maximize profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the trading team handling agricultural products.
• Develop and implement trading strategies aligned with GCC and Saudi market trends.
• Identify profitable opportunities by monitoring demand, seasonal cycles, and price fluctuations.
• Negotiate large-scale procurement contracts with suppliers and ensure favorable terms.
• Build, maintain, and expand supplier and buyer networks across local and international markets.
• Oversee risk management related to pricing, supply chain, and market volatility.
• Ensure compliance with GCC agricultural trade regulations and quality standards.
• Prepare and present regular reports on trading activities, market outlook, and business performance.
• Coordinate closely with logistics, finance, and operations teams to ensure efficient supply chain execution.
• Mentor and guide junior traders, providing leadership and direction.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in agricultural trading, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
• Strong expertise in commodity trading (grains, pulses, feed, fresh produce, etc.) across GCC markets.
• Deep understanding of the Saudi Arabian agricultural market dynamics.
• Proven track record of negotiating and closing profitable trading deals.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and financial acumen with the ability to forecast market trends.
• Knowledge of GCC import/export regulations, logistics, and documentation.
• Fluency in English required; Arabic highly preferred.
