Traditional Trade Manager

Role & Responsibility

  • Strategic role
  • Design and implement strategies for traditional trade sales to achieve market share and revenue growth goals.
  • Participate in budget planning to set realistic sales targets aligned with market demand.
  • Develop and refine go-to-market strategies for assigned territories, ensuring comprehensive market coverage.
  • Work closely with modern trade customers to identify and leverage value-added opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making and refine approach.
  • Operational Role
  • Experience in the same role & Managerial Position
  • Meet and exceed sales numbers to maximize volume and margin.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the sales force, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Identify and implement efficiency improvements within sales operations.
  • Optimize territory assignments to ensure full and effective market coverage.
  • Manage van sales operations across multiple channels for seamless service delivery.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with traditional trade partners to support sustained growth.
  • Build the team’s capabilities through regular training, coaching, and development programs.
  • Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained across channels.
  • Plan and execute trade promotions and merchandising initiatives to enhance product visibility and sales.
  • Prepare and analyze sales reports to track performance against targets.
  • Allocate resources efficiently to meet sales objectives.
  • Conduct field visits to monitor sales activities and gain insights into market dynamics.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints to improve satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Gather customer and sales feedback to inform product and service improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
