Job Purpose
The Training Manager (F&B) is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing training programs that enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and compliance across all Food & Beverage operations. This role ensures that F&B teams are well-trained, performance-driven, and aligned with brand standards and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities Training Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement a comprehensive F&B training strategy aligned with company goals and brand standards.
- Identify training needs through performance reviews, audits, guest feedback, and operational requirements.
- Prepare annual training plans and budgets.
Program Development & Delivery
- Design training materials, manuals, SOPs, presentations, and e-learning content for F&B operations.
- Conduct onboarding, service excellence, product knowledge, hygiene, safety, and leadership training.
- Deliver both classroom-based and on-the-job training sessions.
Operational Standards & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, HACCP, and local regulatory requirements.
- Monitor adherence to SOPs and brand standards across all F&B outlets.
- Support new openings, rebranding, and operational changes through targeted training.
Performance Monitoring & Evaluation
- Evaluate training effectiveness using KPIs, assessments, and post-training performance reviews.
- Track training attendance, completion, and certification records.
- Provide regular reports and recommendations to management.
Team Development & Coaching
- Coach F&B managers and supervisors on training delivery and people development.
- Support succession planning and talent development within the F&B department.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Coordination & Collaboration
- Work closely with HR, Operations, Quality, and Safety teams.
- Coordinate with external trainers, consultants, and suppliers when required.
- Support audits, inspections, and quality assessments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, HR, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Food & Beverage operations, with at least 3 years in a training or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of F&B service standards, kitchen operations, and food safety regulations.
- Experience in hotels, restaurants, catering, or multi-unit F&B operations is preferred.
