Transport Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Route Planning and Scheduling: Organize and optimize transportation routes for efficiency, ensuring on-time deliveries.
• Fleet Management: Oversee the maintenance and management of the vehicle fleet to ensure they are in safe and working condition.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure that transportation operations adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Budget Management: Control costs related to transportation, including fuel, vehicle maintenance, and wages, while looking for opportunities to reduce expenses.
• Driver Management: Recruit, train, and supervise drivers, ensuring they are following best practices and adhering to regulations (e.g., working hours, licensing).
• Customer Service: Work closely with customers to ensure their delivery requirements are met, and resolve any issues that may arise in transportation.
• Logistics Coordination: Liaise with other departments (e.g., warehouses, procurement) to coordinate the movement of goods.
• Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and fuel usage, and generate reports as needed.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks in transportation, such as accidents or delays, and develop plans to mitigate them.
• Technology Utilization: Use transport management software to track shipments, vehicles, and optimize routes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
