Transport Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager Transport to lead and oversee the operations of our company’s transportation network. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective transport services while maintaining the highest operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the company’s transportation network to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Control labor hours, travel, fuel, and consumable supplies within budget while maximizing time and cost efficiencies.
• Direct the proper selection, purchase, and utilization of company transport assets.
• Coordinate and ensure timely repairs and maintenance of all transportation vehicles.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve transportation policies and procedures.
• Monitor daily routing activities and ensure that all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are effectively met.
• Optimize delivery routes and backhaul functions to enhance profitability and efficiency.
• Interpret, train, and consistently enforce company policies and procedures within the department.
• Lead safety initiatives and conduct investigations for any transport-related incidents to determine root causes.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets, profit plans, and capital requests as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in transport management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of fleet management, route optimization, and logistics planning.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in transport management systems (TMS) and MS Office applications.
