Transportation Specialist

The Transportation Specialist is responsible for coordinating daily fleet operations to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery performance. The role involves scheduling drivers, monitoring routes, resolving operational issues, and supporting overall logistics efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the fleet, including scheduling, dispatching, and monitoring vehicles.
• Schedule and dispatch drivers for efficient and timely delivery to customers.
• Monitor vehicles and routes and adjust as needed to optimize delivery times and minimize fuel consumption.
• Respond promptly to any issues or emergencies that arise during delivery operations.
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in fleet management or a similar role, preferably in the delivery industry.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as fleet management systems and GPS tracking tools.
