Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with adult critical care and ED experience for a day shift position at a Level IV trauma acute care hospital.

Details

• Work in an acute care hospital with 24-hour emergency care, full medical and surgical services, and an attached 71-bed skilled extended care facility (LTC)
• Level IV trauma designation
• 25 staffed beds
• Adult critical care, emergency department (ED), and pediatrics patient populations
• Potential to float to the attached LTC facility within scope to meet facility needs
• Day shift, 3x12-hour schedule (7:00–19:00)
• Every other weekend required
• On-call required (details discussed during interview)
• Charting via Cerner
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Adult critical care, ED, and pediatrics experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP required
• Valid state license required; license required if applicable
• Pediatric critical care, pulmonary function test lab, and pulmonary rehab experience preferred

• RTO is limited to 1 request per contract, with a maximum of 1 week; no RTO permitted during the first two weeks due to orientation
