American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with adult and pediatric experience for a night shift travel assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma acute care hospital in Alaska.

13-week assignment at a 407-bed Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma acute care hospital recognized as a USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska
-
Supports a 28-bed adult ICU, 9-bed PICU, 66-bed Level III NICU, and floor therapy
-
Adult and pediatric patient populations, including open heart surgery patients
-
RT therapies include NIV, high flow, nebulizers, CPT, nitric oxide, Flolan nebulizer, and more
-
Equipment includes Draeger ventilators (adult), Servo-I ventilators (PICU and NICU)
-
Charting via Epic (required)
-
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30

Orientation takes place on day shift
-
Every other weekend required
-
On-call not required
-
May float to like units within the state as needed

Block scheduling is not available

Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience

Adult and pediatric RT experience required
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Required certifications: BLS and CRT
-
Preferred certifications: ACLS, NRP, PALS, RRT

License required if applicable

Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting

Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Scrubs are provided by the facility

Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler

Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment

All requested time off must be disclosed upfront and is approved on an individual basis
