American Traveler is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Level III NICU experience and proficiency in Drager, Jet, and Oscillator ventilators for a hospital-based travel assignment in Iowa.

Hospital-based respiratory therapy position serving all age groups, with a primary focus on adult and NICU patients

Level III NICU unit involvement required

Equipment includes Drager ventilator, Jet ventilator, and Oscillator ventilator

EMR: Epic (required)

Floating across different units throughout the hospital is required

Solid-color scrub tops and bottoms required

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; CRTs will not be considered

Minimum 24 months of RRT/Respiratory Therapy experience in a hospital setting
-
NICU experience within the last 18 months required
-
Level III NICU experience within the last 15 months required
-
Proficiency with Drager ventilator, Jet ventilator, and Oscillator ventilator required
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Iowa Respiratory license highly preferred; licensing candidates will be accepted with an estimated 1–3 week turnaround

Must have completed at least one travel assignment within the past 15 months; first-time travelers will not be considered

Active certifications required: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC), NBRC, PALS (AHA), and NRP

Driver's license required for consideration

Supervisory performance evaluation or professional reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Iowa license required if applicable

Candidates who were previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration

Candidates must be willing to work 1–2 of the 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
-
Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a modified pay rate
-
RTO is limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving week (11/26–11/30) and the winter holiday window (12/23–1/2), regardless of holidays worked
