Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with recent critical care experience for a day shift travel assignment at a 396-bed hospital in Florence, SC.

Details

  • Day shift, 3x12-hour schedule, 6:45a–7:15p
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday rotation required
  • Floating within scope to all areas of the hospital, including labor and delivery, is required
  • No floating to sister facilities
  • Charting via Epic
  • 396-bed hospital setting
  • No on-call required
  • Free parking on-site

Requirements

  • Current SC Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license required in hand at time of start
  • Active RRT credential (NBRC) required — CRTs will not be considered
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required; recent critical care experience is required
  • Current AHA certifications required in hand at time of start: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS
  • SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
  • License required if applicable
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
  • Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

  • Candidates who were previously employed (including PRN) at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission; approval is based on facility needs
  • Orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment
  • Caribbean Blue scrubs required
  • Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
