Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a night shift position at a Level III adult trauma hospital serving the Emergency Department and Special Care Nursery.

Details

• 120-bed Level III adult trauma hospital
• Provides respiratory therapy services in the Emergency Department and Special Care Nursery
• Uses Epic for charting; experience preferred
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30–07:00
• Every 3rd weekend required
• No on-call required
• No floating required
• Block scheduling considered at manager's discretion
• Free employee parking available
• Scrub color: Ceil Blue

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required
• Current RRT credential required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS
• State license required if applicable
• Candidates must reside more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Experience in PICU or NICU is not required, but NRP and PALS are required to ensure competency in managing emergency situations
• Travelers must be clean-shaven for mask fit testing — CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided, and personal CAPRs/PAPRs are not permitted at this facility; inability to pass fit testing may result in cancellation of the assignment
• Holiday and weekend rotation participation may be required
• Requesting time off (RTO) in advance is strongly encouraged
