Whidbey Tree Works is a locally owned tree service company dedicated to providing top-quality tree care. We specialize in tree removals, pruning, and land clearing. Our team is growing, and we’re looking for a Ground Worker to assist in daily operations. No experience? No problem! We are willing to train motivated candidates who are ready to work hard and learn valuable skills.

Job Overview:

As a Ground Worker, you’ll be an essential part of our crew, assisting climbers and helping maintain job site efficiency. This role is physically demanding and requires working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Duties:

- Brush & Debris Cleanup – Drag and chip branches, stack logs, and keep job sites clean.
- Chainsaw & Equipment Use – Assist with cutting and processing wood safely.
- Rigging & Rope Work – Support climbers with setting up and managing rigging systems.
- Light Landscaping – Restore yards after tree removals (raking, leveling, seeding, etc.).
- Equipment Handling – Load/unload chainsaws, ropes, and tools as needed.
-Truck & Equipment Maintenance – Perform basic maintenance (cleaning, refueling, minor repairs, routine maintenance).
- Safety Compliance – Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.

What We're Looking For

- Must be 18+ years old
- Valid driver’s license required (CDL is a plus!)
- Physically fit – Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Mechanically inclined
- Experience in tree work, landscaping, or construction is helpful but not required

- Familiarity with landscaping principles and practices

- Ability to safely operate equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, trimmers, and blowers

- Proficiency in tree care practices including pruning and trimming

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a team

- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
