The Tube Town Supervisor assists the Manager with the day-to-day operations of Tube Town, including tubing, skating, mini sleds and skate rentals. All Tube Town positions require interaction with our guests while being alert to our surroundings.

Responsibilities:

Provide outstanding customer service through direct interaction with both guests and staff
Supervise and assist with opening Tickets, Tube Park, Brewers Pond and Brewers Rentals and Mini Sled, operations, closing, and similar tasks.
Provide leadership and direction for Tube Town staff
Act as a mentor who can train and lead a front-line team with effective communication
Contribute to the control of labor costs through effective scheduling and related activities
Supervise the ticket seller and rental technician functions, including floats, coin orders and opening/closing procedures
Assist with TubeTown Group Bookings
Maintain an inventory of supplies, and perform related tasks as needed
Assist in staff orientation, training, and delegation of tasks
Deal with a variety of special problems that may arise, such as lift breakdowns or equipment malfunctions
Prepare for and assist with emergency operations
Follow the Resort Etiquette Guidelines while interacting with the guests and respond to all guests in a courteous, efficient manner
Responsible for accurate record keeping pertaining to all operational log sheets
Other duties as assigned

Employee Experience

Assist the Tube Town Manager with all areas of Risk Management and Health and Safety regulations within Silver Star
Create a fun and safe family environment at TT
Train, motivate and coach staff with our guests’ best interests in mind
Ensure accurate cash summaries are received daily during the winter season

Assist with the day-to-day operations of Tube Town (tubing, skating, mini-sleds)
To represent Silver Star in an organized, professional and positive manner
Exceed guest’s expectations by being informed and knowledgeable on all aspects possible of the resort operations and services

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Hard working
Minimum 1 year experience supervising staff
Responsible
Enthusiastic
Punctual
Strong customer service skills and conflict management skills
Able to work in weather conditions anywhere from -5 to below -25, snow, fog and rain
Valid BC Driver’s license
Mechanical/machinery knowledge and experience is an asset

Hours and Wage:

Per week range between 35-40 F/T
Operational hours can range from 9 am - 9 pm
$19/hr plus performance bonus (paid at the end of the Winter season)
