Upholstery Designer

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Automotive Upholstery Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in designing, cutting, stitching, and installing upholstery for car interiors, including seats, door panels, headliners, dashboards, and custom interior modifications. Creativity, precision, and technical expertise are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom automotive upholstery concepts for luxury, sports, and modified vehicles.
• Create sketches, design layouts, and material samples for client approval.
• Select suitable materials such as leather, Alcantara, fabric, foam, vinyl, and stitching threads.
• Measure, cut, tailor, and fit upholstery pieces with high accuracy.
• Oversee and perform stitching, padding, wrapping, and installation of interior components.
• Reupholster or repair damaged interior parts as required.
• Work closely with customization, fabrication, and interior modification teams.
• Ensure all finished interiors meet premium quality standards, durability, and brand aesthetics.
• Maintain inventory of upholstery materials and provide requirements to the purchasing team.
• Stay updated with modern styles, industry design trends, and new material technologies.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper handling of materials and equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum 5–10 years of experience as an Automotive Upholstery Designer or Trimmer in UAE
• Strong knowledge of car interiors, upholstery techniques, and luxury vehicle finishing.
• Skilled in using cutting tools, industrial sewing machines, heat guns, adhesive materials, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret design sketches and measurements.
• Creative eye for detail, color matching, and finishing quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience with premium or custom car interiors is a major advantage.
