UPS Product Manager – Light Current Department

Cairo, Egypt

As a UPS Product Manager, you will oversee product portfolio management, develop go-to-market strategies, and work closely with sales, engineering, and procurement teams. You will act as the subject matter expert on UPS systems, providing technical support, training, and solution designs to clients. The role involves monitoring market trends, identifying business opportunities, and driving revenue growth while ensuring product compliance with industry standards.

Job Description:


· Manage the UPS product portfolio, including selection, positioning, and lifecycle management.

· Collaborate with suppliers/vendors to negotiate pricing, warranties, and product roadmaps.

· Design and configure UPS solutions to meet client requirements.

· Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team during presales and post-sales activities.

· Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training for internal teams and clients.

· Develop and implement go-to-market strategies and pricing models for UPS solutions.

· Monitor competitors, analyze market trends, and recommend strategies for market expansion.

· Support tendering processes by preparing technical and commercial proposals.

· Ensure compliance of products and solutions with safety and industry standards.

· Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure availability of stock and on-time delivery.

· Provide after-sales technical support in coordination with service engineers.

  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, product performance reports, and market analysis.





Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
  • 4–7 years of experience in UPS systems, power solutions, or light current systems.
  • Prior experience in product management, presales, or technical sales is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of UPS systems (single-phase & three-phase).
  • Familiarity with power distribution, batteries, and related infrastructure.
  • Understanding of light current systems (CCTV, access control, fire alarm, etc.) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ERP/CRM tools.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Negotiation and vendor management abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving orientation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Customer-focused with a results-driven approach.
