Job Summary

Skylight Codeworks are seeking an experienced Upwork Bidder with 1.5–2 years of hands-on experience in Upwork lead generation, proposal writing, and client conversion. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Upwork algorithms, connects management, profile optimization, and bidding strategies to consistently generate qualified leads and close projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Search and identify high-conversion Upwork jobs aligned with company services
• Write customized Upwork proposals optimized for client requirements and keywords
• Manage Upwork connects, boosting bids strategically to improve visibility
• Communicate with clients via Upwork chat, voice, and video calls
• Handle Upwork job invitations, shortlists, and interviews
• Convert leads into long-term clients and contracts
• Coordinate with technical teams to define project scope, timelines, and pricing
• Maintain a strong Upwork profile rating, JSS (Job Success Score), and response time
• Track proposals, follow-ups, and conversions using CRM or internal trackers
• Stay updated with Upwork marketplace trends, competitors, and policy changes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field (preferred)
• 1.5–2 years of proven experience in Upwork bidding and business development
• Strong understanding of Upwork algorithms, filters, and search ranking factors

Required Skills & Competencies

• Expert-level Upwork proposal writing and cover letter personalization
• Strong lead qualification and client communication skills
• Experience with hourly and fixed-price contracts
• Negotiation skills for pricing, milestones, and scope
• Ability to meet weekly/monthly bidding and conversion targets
• Strong time management and multitasking skills
