We are looking for a skilled and results-driven Upwork Bidder to manage and grow our presence on Upwork. This role is critical in generating qualified leads and projects for software development, IT services, and staff augmentation offerings.
The ideal candidate understands Upwork algorithms, client psychology, proposal writing, and IT services selling.
Key ResponsibilitiesUpwork Lead Generation & Bidding
- Identify and bid on relevant Upwork projects related to:
- Software development
- Web & mobile apps
- Staff augmentation / dedicated developers
- BPO & IT support services
- Write customized, high-conversion proposals aligned with client requirements
- Maintain a high proposal-to-interview and win ratio
Client Communication & Conversion
- Respond promptly and professionally to client messages
- Conduct requirement discovery and qualify leads before handover to sales or delivery teams
- Support negotiation on pricing, scope, and timelines
Profile & Account Management
- Optimize and manage Upwork company profile (portfolio, descriptions, keywords)
- Track and improve Upwork metrics: Job Success Score, response rate, and profile visibility
- Stay updated with Upwork policy and algorithm changes
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with technical, sales, and project teams to ensure accurate proposals
- Maintain daily and weekly reporting on bids, leads, conversions, and revenue
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–5+ years of experience as an Upwork Bidder / Business Development Executive
- Proven success selling IT services or software development projects on Upwork
- Strong understanding of staff augmentation and offshore development models
- Excellent written English and proposal-writing skills
- Ability to analyze client needs and propose suitable technical solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with US, UK, or GCC clients
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales pipelines
- Knowledge of software development technologies and pricing models
