Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and results driven Upwork Business Development Associate to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities on Upwork, submitting high quality proposals, communicating with potential clients, and converting leads into long term business relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Search for relevant projects on Upwork and identify suitable business opportunities.
• Prepare customised and persuasive proposals based on client requirements.
• Communicate professionally with prospective clients through Upwork messages and calls.
• Follow up with clients to maximise conversion rates.
• Understand project requirements and coordinate with the internal team before submitting proposals.
• Maintain accurate records of proposals, leads, interviews, and project outcomes.
• Build and maintain long term relationships with clients.
• Achieve monthly proposal submission and client acquisition targets.
• Stay updated with Upwork policies, industry trends, and competitor activities.
• Ensure timely responses to client queries and maintain a high response rate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
• 6 months to 2 years of experience in Upwork bidding or business development is preferred.
• Fresh candidates with excellent communication skills and strong learning ability are also encouraged to apply.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong proposal writing and negotiation skills.
• Good understanding of freelancing platforms, particularly Upwork.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of IT services, software development, digital marketing, or design services.
• Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
• Self motivated with a target driven approach.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
