Utilities Manager - French Fries production

Key Responsibilities

· System Oversight: Manage and maintain the "Powerhouse," which includes ammonia refrigeration plants (essential for frozen fries), 1st-class steam generation boilers, compressed air, and water filtration systems.

· Wastewater Management: Lead the operations of the site's wastewater treatment plant and ensure all effluent meets environmental and legal discharge standards.

· Energy Efficiency & Sustainability: Monitor consumption and implement energy-saving projects (e.g., LED lighting, variable frequency drives) to reduce costs and environmental impact.

· Safety & Compliance: Champion Process Safety Management (PSM) and Legionella risk management; ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and food safety standards (HACCP).

· Project Management: Oversee utility-related CAPEX projects, including equipment upgrades and facility expansions, ensuring they remain on schedule and within budget.

· Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of utility technicians, engineers, and external contractors.

Core Requirements

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering.

· Experience: Significant experience in industrial utility management, ideally within food manufacturing or high-pressure steam environments.

· Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of refrigeration (ammonia), HVAC, boiler systems, and electrical infrastructure.

· Soft Skills: Strong strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration with production and quality teams, and vendor management.
