We are looking for an experienced and reliable Vehicle Supervisor to oversee our daily fleet operations, driver scheduling, and overall vehicle maintenance. In this role, you will be responsible for keeping all vehicles in optimal working condition, managing driver schedules effectively, ensuring road safety, and minimizing operational downtime.

Key Responsibilities1. Fleet Maintenance & Management

  • Create, manage, and enforce routine preventive maintenance schedules (oil changes, tire replacement, brake checks, and general servicing).
  • Conduct regular physical inspections of vehicles to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.
  • Coordinate major and minor repairs with approved workshops or mechanics, ensuring quality service and cost efficiency.
  • Keep detailed maintenance logs, repair records, fuel usage reports, and vehicle expense histories.
  • Ensure vehicle registration, permits, inspections, and insurance coverage remain up-to-date.

2. Driver Scheduling & Supervision

  • Prepare and assign daily and weekly driver shift schedules, task rosters, and delivery routes.
  • Track driver punctuality, daily attendance, shift rotation, and manage leave requests to maintain uninterrupted operations.
  • Conduct pre-trip briefings on safe driving practices, company standards, and uniform requirements.
  • Handle immediate driver inquiries, route adjustments, and shift coverage during unexpected absences.
  • Monitor driving performance and address driver discipline, traffic violations, or service delays promptly.

3. Safety, Compliance & Incident Handling

  • Enforce strict compliance with local road safety laws and internal transport policies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vehicle breakdowns, roadside emergencies, and accidents.
  • Handle initial accident reports, police reports, and coordinate insurance claims for damaged vehicles.
  • Monitor fleet location and driving behavior through GPS tracking systems.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of verified experience in fleet management, vehicle supervision, or dispatching.
  • Knowledge: Hands-on understanding of basic automotive mechanical issues, servicing needs, and vehicle maintenance costs.
  • Skills: Excellent schedule planning, team leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Software: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word for maintaining logs, scheduling rosters, and record-keeping.
  • Licensing: Valid driver’s license.
