Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and highly motivated Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our organization. This critical role is responsible for shaping and driving the organization’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives and sustainable growth.

The VP of FP&A will lead the organization’s comprehensive financial planning and analytical functions, delivering robust forecasting, actionable performance insights, and strategic financial support. This role serves as a key partner to executive leadership—including the CFO and Controller—providing data-driven recommendations that inform decision-making and optimize organizational performance.

Reporting to the EVP & Chief Financial Officer, this position requires a deep understanding of financial principles, exceptional analytical capabilities, and the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of enhancing financial performance, leading high-performing teams, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the annual operating plan and long‑range planning process in partnership with the CFO and Executive Vice Presidents.
  • Lead modeling, strategic analysis, budgeting, resource allocation, and scenario planning to support major business initiatives for both the national office and the enterprise.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting cycles, including comprehensive risk and opportunity assessments.
  • Drive the implementation of rolling forecasts and support development of financial results guidance for Board and stakeholder reporting.
  • Develop, standardize, and enhance financial analysis, modeling, reporting, and forecasting frameworks to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Develop and implement financial reports, models, and KPI dashboards to generate business insights and guide investment, resource allocation, and cost‑management decisions.
  • Lead the integration and ongoing utilization of Workiva to streamline FP&A reporting, including standardized templates, automated workflows, and accurate, timely Board and Committee deliverables.
  • Oversee KPI governance and establish a consistent performance review cadence across the organization.
  • Direct and own the preparation of Board of Directors and senior management presentations, summarizing financial outlook and providing clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and operational teams to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent monthly performance reporting.
  • Lead or support modernization of financial systems and reporting infrastructure, including dashboards, automation tools, and AI‑enabled analytics.
  • Monitor organizational cash flows, funding sources, and liquidity, ensuring portfolio‑generated income supports funding requirements and determining sources of funds for existing and future commitments.
  • Oversee organizational debt management, including monitoring debt levels, covenant compliance, interest obligations, refinancing needs, and liquidity impacts; collaborate with CFO and executive leadership to optimize capital structure, ensure access to funding, and support long‑term financial sustainability
  • Provide leadership to FP&A staff, including defining role expectations, hiring, training, coaching, evaluating performance, and resolving escalated issues involving resources, workflows, or technical challenges.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in finance, accounting, or related field.

Qualifications
  • 15+ years of FP&A leadership at the corporate headquarters level, working directly with C‑Suite leaders and Board members to drive strategic financial decisions.
  • Must pass a criminal history background check.

Any work-related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the above Minimum Qualifications is an acceptable substitute for the above-specified education and experience requirements.

Licenses

MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
