Helium is transported in cryogenics ISO tanks and thus requires a just-in-time logistics to serve our customers in due time, while optimizing our assets and inventory management. To achieve the best results, this Supply Chain requires agility in planning, rapidity, reliability and traceability throughout the value chain.
ALGHe is having its office in Dubai (Jebel Ali Free Zone) and is part of Air Liquide Maritime. Air Liquide Maritime, a key player within Innotech, bridges international markets by delivering essential molecules across borders and oceans. This highly international environment manages operations in multiple locations worldwide.
The Freight team provides transversal support to the AL Maritime Business Units, notably in the fields of freight procurement and strategy, databased decision making and escalation point to the vendors. It also stimulates and implements AL Maritime-wide improvement programs.
With Supply Chain teams in France, UAE and Malaysia, the Freight team maintains close proximity with the Business Units and represents AL Maritime in Air Liquide Group Seafreight Board.
We are seeking a highly motivated Freight Analyst within our Global Helium team who will also work closely with digital, procurement, and global supply chain teams.
You will contribute to this mission by:
Global Helium Freight Cost Controlling & Operations
- Controlling and validating Helium freight invoices in coordination with carriers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
- Supervising the interface between suppliers and our global freight auditor, and managing the relationship with the 3rd party audit provider.
- Consolidating freight data and costs on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy in financial closing and variance analysis with target.
- Providing analytical support for freight KPIs, issuing the monthly Maritime Freight Flash and other operational reports.
Procurement & Logistics AL Maritime
- Supporting the Freight Procurement Manager in tenders, negotiations, and supplier evaluations
- Updating freight rates following RFQ results and maintaining accurate records of all contractual updates
- Creating purchase requisitions and performing goods receipts for all freight service providers
- Engaging with global suppliers and identifying synergies to optimize sourcing strategies across regions
Digitalization & Business Intelligence AL Maritime
- Designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards to consolidate freight cost history and monitor performance per container, per route, and per region
- Building tools for CO₂ emissions monitoring and sustainability reporting
- Collaborating with the Digital/TMS team to migrate current dashboards into the Transport Management System (TMS)
- Leveraging AI solutions (Gemini) to explore automation of freight invoice auditing and accelerate scenario simulations
 
Education
Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field
Specialization in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance
Soft and Hard Skills
Hard skills - Must have:
Proficiency in Power BI data modeling and transformation, including using DAX for calculated columns, measures, and tables, as well as cleaning and transforming data with the Query Editor
Proficiency with G Suite environment (G Sheet)
Hard skills - Nice to have
Experience with TMS and/or freight audit processes is a plus
