Visual Communication Designer (Full-Time, Onsite)

Meraki-IT is a software development agency building web, mobile, AI, SaaS, and DevOps solutions for clients across the UK, US, and Gulf region.

We're looking for a Visual Communication Designer with strong design fundamentals, creative problem-solving skills, and experience using AI-assisted workflows to create high-quality marketing and communication materials across digital and print.

What You'll Design

• Brochures, catalogs, guidebooks, and other print-ready marketing materials
• Social media graphics and advertising creatives
• Static assets for video animations, including illustrations, UI-style graphics, diagrams, and scene elements
• AI-generated visuals refined into production-ready designs

What We're Looking For

• Strong typography, layout, composition, colour theory, visual hierarchy, and information design
• Experience designing marketing collateral for print and digital platforms
• Strong research skills and the ability to adapt to different brands, industries, and visual styles
• Ability to independently develop concepts from rough briefs
• Motion design awareness is a plus

Required Tools

Must Have

• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Photoshop
• Proficiency with at least two AI image generation tools (such as GPT Image Generation, Gemini, Midjourney, Nano Banana Pro, Adobe Firefly, Stable Diffusion, or similar)

Nice to Have

• Adobe InDesign

Interview Evaluation

Candidates will be assessed on:

• Design fundamentals and visual communication
• Practical proficiency and workflow in Illustrator, Photoshop, AI image generation tools, and other relevant software
• Ability to explain design decisions and creative thinking
• Understanding of print and digital marketing design
• Attention to detail, consistency, and adaptability across different visual styles

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to present selected portfolio projects during the interview and explain their design process, workflow, and creative decisions.
