We are looking for a highly motivated VoIP Engineer with 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience, VoIP technologies, and cloud-enabled UCaaS solutions. The ideal candidate is skilled in SIP protocols, VoIP , and has a strong background in Linux systems, networking, and telephony automation.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a robust understanding of PBX, VoIP, and cloud-based UCaaS solutions.
- Act as the primary authority on SIP voice protocols, ensuring accurate configuration and optimization.
- Implement and refine network parameters to ensure optimal voice quality across the network.
- Preferably possess experience with WebRTC voice and video protocols.
- Possess extensive knowledge of SIP signalling, media flows, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Exhibit a strong grasp of Quality of Service (QoS) principles in a voice environment.
- Showcase excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Oversee the quality of service delivered by the team in alignment with customer SLAs.
- Conduct system administration for Asterisk PBX, IVR, and Call Center servers worldwide.
- Manage SMPP and API-based SMS technologies.
- Collaborate with the team to uphold the security of all VoIP devices and servers, ensure service quality, redundancy of voice paths, and optimize services.
- Analyze Linux-based servers for QoS, scalability, utilization, and high availability.
- Engage in continuous research to identify and implement the latest technologies for enhancing telephony infrastructure.
- Develop applications integrated with telephony systems to enhance monitoring and daily operations.
- Create automation scripts in Python, PHP, Perl, etc., to automate various tasks and activities within the system.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Linux systems, including various distributions such as Red Hat/CentOS, Ubuntu/Debian, with experience in system administration and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, TCP/IP networking, routing, and switching.
- Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Bash for automation and task scripting.
- Familiarity with database design, SQL queries, preferably with MySQL.
- Hands-on experience with the SMPP protocol.
- Proficient in VoIP tools like Asterisk or FreeSWITCH
- Good understanding of SIP proxies like Kamailio or OpenSIPS.
- Thorough understanding of VoIP protocols including SIP, SDP, RTP, RTCP, IAX, WS/WSS, etc.
- Knowledgeable about Asterisk functionalities such as AGI, ARI, queues, conferencing, etc.
- Ability to configure SIP proxies and B2BUAs.
- Experience in troubleshooting carrier interconnection and VoIP-related issues.
- Adaptability to changing technology and business requirements.
