Job Purpose

We are looking for a Lighting Warehouse Technician to join our team in Dubai, the Middle East. The role involves assembling, repairing, and modifying lighting products designed for retail and commercial businesses. Additionally, the technician may assist with packing and preparing products for shipment when needed.

Responsibilities

• Modification of lighting products
• Assembly of lighting products
• Installation of accessories (dimmers, mounts, reflectors)
• Testing certain products/ stress testing
• Ensuring all products adhere to health and safety standards
• Wiring and soldering

Packing, Inventory, and Storage

• Organizing lighting components and spare parts
• Keeping track of stock levels of bulbs, drivers, housing, and accessories
• Preparing items for dispatch (labelling, packaging fragile lighting equipment)
• Assisting with the packing and shipment of lighting products
• Preparing orders for retail and commercial clients
• Occasionally, helping install or demonstrate products for clients or project managers

Requirements and skills

• Should have a technician qualification
• Experience in lighting work preferred
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Be able to work in a team environment
• Help with the organization and delegation of work
• Be motivated and proactive in their role
• Skills in Inventory Control and Unloading
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
• Physical capability to handle warehouse activities and lifting
• Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred
