Welding QC Inspector

We are seeking an experienced Welding QC Inspector for projects in Ras Laffan, Qatar. The candidate must have strong hands-on experience in welding inspection within oil & gas or industrial environments and must hold Ras Laffan–approved or QatarEnergy (QE)–approved certification.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of proven experience as a Welding QC Inspector in Oil & Gas / Industrial projects.
• Valid CSWIP 3.2.2 or CSWIP 3.1 certification (mandatory).
• Certification must be Ras Laffan approved or QatarEnergy (QE) approved.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, SAW) and materials.
• Familiar with inspection standards such as ASME Section IX, ASME B31.3, API 1104, AWS D1.1.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, WPS, PQR, and welding symbols.
• Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• Physically fit to work in industrial site conditions.
• Previous experience working in Ras Laffan Industrial City is preferred.
• Exposure to QatarEnergy / Qatargas / RLIC projects (Preferred) .
• Knowledge of NDT coordination and documentation control is also preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspection and quality control of welding activities in accordance with approved WPS, ITP, codes, and standards.
• Verify welder qualifications, welding procedures, and consumables prior to welding activities.
• Monitor welding processes, joint preparation, fit-up, pre-heating, and post-weld heat treatment (PWHT).
• Ensure compliance with ASME, AWS, API, ISO, and project-specific requirements.
• Review and verify welding records, NDT reports, and inspection documentation.
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and third-party inspectors to resolve welding quality issues.
• Identify non-conformances and issue NCRs, follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure all welding works comply with QatarEnergy / Ras Laffan safety and quality standards.
