Job Announcement – Electrical Engineer

A leading engineering consultancy firm based in the Emirate of Sharjah is seeking to recruit a qualified and highly competent Electrical Engineer.

General Requirements (Applicable to All Applicants):

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant practical experience, including at least 3 years within the Emirate of Sharjah.
• Proficiency in both Arabic and English (spoken and written).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a recognized university, duly attested as per official requirements.
• Strong communication skills, ability to work effectively within a team, and capability to perform under pressure.
• Commitment to local and international codes, regulations, and engineering standards.
• Proficiency in using engineering and technical software relevant to the field.

Electrical Engineer – Specific Requirements:

• Valid Grade 1 card issued by Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA).
• Proven experience in the design and review of electrical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical load calculations, selection of cables and circuit breakers, earthing, and protection systems.
• Familiarity with electrical codes and standards such as DEWA, FEWA, NEC, and IEC.
• Experience with smart systems (BMS); knowledge of renewable energy systems is considered an added advantage.
• Proficiency in engineering software including AutoCAD, DIALux, ETAP, and Revit MEP.
• Ability to prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), technical specifications, and detailed technical reports.
• Experience in site supervision and coordination of electrical works.

Location: Emirate of Sharjah

Salary: To be determined based on qualifications and experience (after interview)
