JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Academic Affairs Support Analyst supports accreditation and program review processes for both program-specific and institutional (HLC) accreditation by collecting and reporting key data on enrollment, outcomes, and feedback. This role serves as a liaison between administrative and academic functions within Institutional Effectiveness, coordinating record-keeping, assisting faculty with assessment requirements, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives such as data literacy education and program evaluation.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinate with on-campus stakeholders and work closely with faculty, staff, and leadership to support activities and record-keeping related to program accreditation.
  • Collect and synthesize data and artifacts to support program review and accreditation activities.
  • Maintain files and documentation of all aspects of accreditation goals, implementation activities, continuous improvement efforts, and progress toward accreditation requirements.
  • Collaborate on the development and administration of tools such as rubrics and surveys to gather data regarding student satisfaction and learning as well as feedback from external stakeholders.
  • Ongoing review of labor market data to ensure academic program offerings appear to be matched with local/regional demand as a function of program review.
  • Collaborate with other members of Institutional Effectiveness to ensure data collection methodologies and documentation are consistent with department data standards.
  • Attend necessary meetings, consistently and dependably attend work, activities, and functions as scheduled or assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong ability to build collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholder groups, including the ability to accept and implement feedback.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized, with ability to manage multiple timelines and projects.
  • Understanding of research and/or measurement in educational settings, including academic assessment, is very helpful; working knowledge of the collection and analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data is necessary.
  • Ability to develop and administer surveys using appropriate software (e.g., Qualtrics), as well as the ability to report or otherwise communicate/disseminate results utilizing best practices.
  • Familiarity with regional and professional accrediting bodies and the components/process of accreditation and appropriate evidence gathering.
  • Familiarity with academic assessment
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field, Master’s preferred.
  • Two (2) years experience working in IR, assessment, or evaluation, with experience in higher education strongly preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered.
  • Valid driver's license and insurability to drive college vehicles is required.
  • Must pass a background check.
