Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage our financial records and ensure compliance with UAE regulations. You will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, managing accounts payable/receivable, and preparing tax returns in accordance with Federal Tax Authority (FTA) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L) and management reports.
  • VAT Compliance: Handle VAT registration, calculate tax liabilities, and ensure timely filing of VAT returns via the FTA EmaraTax portal.
  • Bookkeeping: Maintain general ledgers, perform bank reconciliations, and manage petty cash.
  • AP & AR Management: Oversee accounts payable (vendor payments) and accounts receivable (invoice generation and debt collection).
  • Audit Support: Assist external auditors during annual audits by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all financial activities align with IFRS standards and local UAE Commercial Companies Law.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, or CMA) are highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of accounting experience, ideally within the UAE.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or Zoho Books).
  • Tax Knowledge: Strong understanding of UAE VAT laws and FTA regulations.
  • Communication: Fluent in English (both written and verbal). Knowledge of Arabic is a plus but usually not mandatory.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: AED18,000.00 - AED28,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 40 per week
