Accountant (Factory & Warehouse Operations)

Position Overview:

The Accountant (Factory & Warehouse Operations) is responsible for managing and monitoring all accounting activities related to production, inventory, warehouse operations, and cost control. This role ensures accurate financial recording of material movements, stock levels, production consumption, and vendor payments. The position plays a key role in maintaining transparency and accuracy between the accounts, warehouse, and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory & Warehouse Accounting

• Monitor daily stock movements (inbound/outbound/returns/transfers).
• Maintain accurate records of finished goods along with their SKUs.
• Reconcile physical stock with system stock regularly.
• Ensure proper documentation for Goods Received Notes (GRN), delivery challans, and stock transfer notes.

2. Production & Cost Accounting

• Maintain BOM (Bill of Material) costing and actual vs. standard cost variance.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production cost reports.
• Track labor, overhead, and material costs for each production batch.

3. Accounts Payable & Vendor Management

• Process vendor invoices related to factory & warehouse operations.
• Match invoices with GRNs, purchase orders, and delivery notes.
• Maintain vendor ledgers and ensure timely payments.
• Coordinate with procurement for rate confirmations and payment approvals.

4. Financial Recording & Reporting

• Prepare daily expense and material usage summaries.
• Record journal entries related to stock, production, wastage, and adjustments.
• Assist in month-end closing activities related to factory & warehouse accounts.
• Generate reports for management on inventory valuation and cost analysis.

5. Internal Controls & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Implement controls over stock movement, wastage, and scrap.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of all transactions.

6. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with warehouse staff for timely and accurate data.
• Work closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams.
• Highlight discrepancies or variances to management and suggest corrective actions.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (B.Com, BBA, BS Accounting).

Experience:

• 2–4 years of experience in factory, warehouse, or manufacturing accounting.
• Experience with inventory systems.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of stock accounting & cost accounting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs65,000.00 - Rs90,000.00 per month
