Job Description:
As an integral part of the Taraz Technologies team, the Accounts/Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial operations with a focus on cash flow management, import-export activities, and procurement. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge in financial strategy, ensuring fiscal responsibility while supporting the company's growth objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; ACCA or CA Finalist or a professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Accountant or Finance executive role.
- In-depth knowledge of cash flow management, import-export operations, and procurement processes.
- Strong analytical and strategic financial planning skills.
- Familiarity with international financial regulations and compliance.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficient in financial software, ERP and Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for efficient cash flow management, ensuring optimal liquidity.
- Analyze cash flow trends and provide forecasts to support decision-making.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, offering insightful commentary on performance and variances.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to support strategic financial planning.
- Oversee import-export activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and optimizing processes for cost-effectiveness.
- Lead the procurement team in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and negotiation of contracts for favorable terms.
- Manage the annual budgeting process, providing input into financial forecasting, monitoring performance, and recommending adjustments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements, identifying and mitigating financial risks.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance on complex financial matters and problem-solving.
- Complete month-end close process and prepare monthly financial statements and reports for the Board and Management.
- Enter, maintain, and/or process information in the payroll system, including employees' hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
- Sales/use tax filing, including the review of sales reports and payables transactions to determine sales and use tax due, along with filing returns with the treasury.
- Assist with annual review and tax return preparation and support.
- Code invoices and check requests correctly to ensure proper entry in financial records.
- Match corresponding incoming invoices with all supporting documentation.
- Obtain appropriate approvals for payments.
- Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing invoices.
- Assist with monthly reporting and analysis of select account activity.
- Provide training and ensure the setup for new employees in Odoo for expense reporting.
- Maintain electronic files for all projects with appropriate documents including job cost tool, customer purchase order, vendor invoice(s), customer invoice(s), in accordance with standard procedures.
