Accounts Manager

Kottayam, India

We are seeking an Accounts Manager to lead and manage the accounts team of our Kottayam office, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with UAE VAT, Customs, and Corporate Tax regulations, as well as the company’s internal policies. The position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining ERP data integrity, supporting audits and tax filings, and liaising with auditors, banks, and the UAE head office. Additionally, the role aims to drive process improvements, enhance team capabilities through training, promote automation for efficiency, and ensure smooth office management, thereby contributing to the overall financial control, compliance, and operational excellence of the organization.

Duties and responsibilities

Responsibility:

  • Lead, monitor and manage the accounts team members of our Kottayam office including remotely working accounts staff.
  • Ensure that all accounting records are entered accurately and timely into ERP of the company in full compliance with the UAE VAT Laws, Customs Regulations, Corporate Tax requirements and company’s internal policies.
  • Ensure that all necessary documentation related to UAE VAT, Customs Duties and Corporate Tax Filing are stored in the ERP accurately and readily accessible for audits and for submission to tax authorities at any time.
  • Become proficient in the Company’s ERP software and Microsoft office applications particularly in excel at an advanced level and continuously train and support the account, staff for its use and application.
  • Ensure that all team members of the company are submitting the monthly, weekly and such other reports as per the company policies and instructions given from time to time.
  • Coordinate with UAE Office on a daily basis to execute transactions and instructions given from Head Office from time to time.
  • Develop and implement training programs and awareness sessions for staff to enhance the skill set and knowledge of the team members related to their work responsibilities and roles.
  • Coordinate with the local auditors of the company for handling the annual audit of Kottayam Office and complying withal local tax requirements.
  • Liaise with the local banks to handle the banking needs of the Kottayam office.
  • Look after and manage the Kottayam office for utilities requirements, rent, office assets, etc.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in accounting and other process and implement the refined/improved processes after discussion and approval from the management.
  • Promote the use of automation and technology to streamline accounting and reporting processes.
  • Perform such other duties and responsibilities diligently and promptly that shall be informed as and when required.

Qualifications

Education: CA/CMA qualified or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

Skills:

· Strong knowledge of UAE VAT Laws, Customs Regulations, Corporate Tax requirements.

· Well experienced in leading, monitoring and managing the team members.

· Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy in work.

· Well versed with bank reconciliations and intercompany transactions.

· Strong proficiency in MS Office tools (especially in Excel)

Working Days: Monday to Saturday

Working hours: 10:00 to 19:00 hours

Public Holidays based on the UAE Holidays

Salary Range

INR 40,000/- to 45,000/- per month.
