Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Air Freight Manager to manage and coordinate air cargo movements efficiently. The ideal candidate will have expertise in airline pricing, customer service, and liaising with international agents and airport authorities. A background in dangerous goods handling is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Pricing & Negotiation:
- Negotiate competitive air freight rates with airlines.
- Manage pricing strategies and offer cost-effective solutions to clients.
- Monitor and analyze air freight market trends to optimize pricing.
Client & Agent Coordination:
- Work closely with customers to understand their air cargo needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Coordinate with international freight agents for smooth cargo movements.
- Ensure timely communication and updates to customers regarding shipment status.
Cargo Handling & Documentation:
- Prepare and verify all necessary shipping documentation, including airway bills (AWBs), invoices, and customs clearance paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with air cargo regulations and airline requirements.
- Handle dangerous goods shipments as per IATA regulations (preferred).
Airport & Regulatory Liaison:
- Collaborate with airport authorities and cargo terminals to ensure seamless cargo processing.
- Ensure compliance with all aviation security and regulatory requirements.
Operational Efficiency & Problem Solving:
- Address any operational challenges related to air freight and find swift solutions.
- Work proactively to minimize delays and ensure on-time deliveries.
Requirements:
- Experience: 8-10 years in air freight forwarding, logistics, or airline cargo handling.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of air freight pricing, airline contracts, and international cargo operations.
- Dangerous Goods Handling: IATA DG certification is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in air cargo booking systems and documentation software.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to liaise with airlines, customers, and international agents.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle cargo movement challenges effectively.
- Teamwork: Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced logistics environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in IATA Air Cargo Operations.
- Previous experience with freight forwarding companies or airline cargo divisions.
Pay: Rs150,000.00 - Rs200,000.00 per month
