About the Role


We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Area Manager - Sports to oversee multiple retail outlets within the assigned area. The role holder will be responsible for ensuring maximum sales, profitability, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction, while maintaining brand standards across all stores.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage retail outlets to drive sales, profitability, and business growth.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experience through effective stock management, visual merchandising, and store operations.
  • Drive commercial KPIs (Conversion, UPT, AVB, Traffic) to maximize performance.
  • Monitor market trends, trading patterns, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Optimize resource deployment while controlling costs within budgets.
  • Ensure timely execution of promotions, stock replenishment, and inventory control.
  • Oversee staffing levels, training, and performance to build motivated, high-performing teams.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, employment laws, and health & safety standards.
  • Supervise new store openings, re-fits, and ensure smooth execution within set timelines.
  • Provide regular product feedback and insights to senior management and buying teams.


Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.


Experience

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years in a supervisory role in retail operations


Technical & Industry Skills

  • Strong industry expertise with product/category knowledge
  • Proficiency in MS Office and related tools
  • Strong numerical and analytical abilities
  • Proven track record in driving sales and operational efficiency


Leadership & People Skills

  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities
  • Excellent customer orientation and service mindset
  • Ability to train, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
