We are seeking an energetic and target-driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to oversee and grow our cosmetics business . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing field sales teams, driving product penetration, building strong distributor/retailer networks, and ensuring achievement of sales targets within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business growth in the assigned area.
- Manage, guide, and motivate sales officers/executives to ensure target achievement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, salons, and pharmacies.
- Identify new business opportunities to expand market share and product visibility.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to adjust sales strategies.
- Ensure proper product placement, merchandising, and availability in the market.
- Drive trade promotions, activations, and sampling campaigns in the field.
- Oversee sales reporting, forecasting, and timely submission of reports to management.
- Ensure timely recovery of payments from distributors/clients.
- Conduct regular market visits to monitor sales performance and provide feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 4–6 years’ experience in FMCG/cosmetics sales, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
- Strong distributor/retailer management experience in FMCG or beauty industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting & analysis.
- Ability to work independently and manage a team in the field.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
