Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Network to manage, optimize, and secure our enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in WiFi, LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs, network security, and NMS setup . The candidate should also be skilled in WiFi noise management, broadcast optimization, and performance tuning .

Key Responsibilities

• WiFi & Wireless Network Management
• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade WiFi networks with optimal coverage, performance, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot WiFi issues, manage RF interference, noise cancellation, and unwanted broadcast traffic.
• Perform WiFi spectrum analysis, channel optimization, and high-density environment planning.
• LAN/WAN & Network Infrastructure
• Configure and manage VLANs, Inter-VLAN routing, and network segmentation.
• Maintain LAN and WAN connectivity, including switches, routers, and network controllers.
• Optimize network performance and ensure high availability, redundancy, and traffic shaping (QoS).
• Network Security & VPNs
• Configure and maintain firewalls, IPS/IDS systems, SSL VPN, IPsec VPN, and secure remote access.
• Implement network security policies, access controls, and compliance measures.
• Monitor security logs, detect threats, and respond to network incidents.
• Network Management System (NMS)
• Setup, configure, and manage Network Management Systems (NMS) to monitor network devices, WiFi, LAN/WAN, and security appliances.
• Use NMS for real-time monitoring, alerting, performance metrics, and reporting.
• Analyze network data to proactively identify issues, optimize resources, and improve uptime.
• Monitoring, Reporting & Optimization
• Generate performance and incident reports using NMS and other monitoring tools.
• Plan and implement network expansion, upgrades, and redundancy measures.
• Optimize network resources and WiFi performance for multiple devices and high-density areas.
• Team Leadership & Collaboration
• Guide and mentor junior engineers in WiFi optimization, LAN/WAN troubleshooting, and security practices.
• Manage vendor relationships and procurement for network equipment and services.
  
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: BS (Computer Science, IT, Electronics) or related field.
• Experience: 5+ years in enterprise networking, including WiFi, LAN/WAN, NMS, and network security.
• Technical Skills:
• WiFi: 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, RF planning, spectrum analysis, noise cancellation, broadcast management (Primarily for Unifi Environment)
• LAN/WAN: VLANs, Inter-VLAN routing, static/dynamic routing, switches, routers.
• Security: Firewalls, IPS/IDS, SSL/IPSec VPNs, traffic shaping, access control.
• NMS: Setup, configuration, monitoring, reporting, alert management.
• Protocols & Services: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, QoS.
• Optimization: Bandwidth management, high-density WiFi, performance tuning.
• Soft Skills:
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and incident management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in complex network environments.

• CWNA / CWNP (Certified Wireless Network Administrator / Professional)
• Cisco CCNA / CCNP Routing & Switching or Wireless
• Fortinet NSE / Palo Alto Network Security Certifications
• NMS Vendor-specific certifications (Cacti, LibreNMS, Zabbix, SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalent)
