Assistant Manager (Spare Parts) - Automotive

Job Purpose:

The role holder is responsible to manage the parts operations on his assigned area and to provide the highest index level of external and internal customer satisfaction for the achievement of qualitative objectives. May provide guidance and supervision to junior staff.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Organizes daily parts sales from all POS channels in the designated area.
  • Overall responsibility of Teams handling, back office operations, SOP adherence, in line with right business practices, MIS, various trackers, forecasting etc.
  • Strict adherence on receivables, CASH & Credit customers handling, PDC trackers, credit policies etc.
  • Overall responsibility of customer interface, business development
  • Supervises parts sales and warehouse operations for smooth business operations processes for the achievement of qualitative and quantitative objectives.
  • Builds and develops customer relationships through the provision of professional and excellent customer service, ensuring customer needs are being met to both internal and external customers.
  • Orders parts and ensures all corresponding paperwork and administration is accurate and completed in a timely manner.
  • Leads by example through individual performance and behavior, providing parts sales staff with clear guidance and direction on daily operations.
  • Expanding the branch parts business and constantly achieves the commercial targets.
  • Analyzes different categories of local potential customers to enlarge the new customer's database.
  • Ensures the implementation of the company’s policies, standard procedures, and management directives.
  • Manages own action plan and supervises staff daily activity, schedule, and action plan.
  • Gathers customers’ feedback and information about customer’s actions.
  • Ensures parts availability, pricing, and that the warranty parts procedure is adhered to.
  • Ensures the staff is updating on a regular basis the customer data and information in the appropriate system.
  • Monitors all parts awareness campaign, product groups and specification changes are cascaded to all parts sales staff.
  • Negotiates with customers and closes sales.
  • Monitors the process of orders supply and ensure correct delivery of parts order to customers on time.
  • Works within the delegated authorities for ordering, invoicing, and crediting and communicates any dispute or more complex/non-routine issues to the line manager.


To be considered in this role, you must have:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience, with exposure to a managerial/supervisory role
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and to accomplish demanding targets
  • Able to manage complex human relationships and culturally sensitive.
  • MS Office advanced skills
