Assistant Network Administrator

Location: Mamji Hospital, Karachi

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of the hospital's LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
• Provide support in managing internet connectivity, IP configurations, and VPN access.
• Help in monitoring network performance and uptime; troubleshoot network issues and outages.
• Support the implementation of network security measures (firewall rules, access controls, antivirus updates).
• Maintain documentation of network devices, configurations, and network diagrams.
• Assist in maintaining servers, backup systems, and data recovery processes.
• Collaborate with the IT team to support hospital systems, including HIS, biometric systems, and CCTV.
• Stay updated with new technologies and best practices in networking and cybersecurity.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in network administration or a similar IT support role.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with Cisco/MikroTik/HP networking equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Certifications such as CCNA (preferred but not required).
