Assistant Product Manager

Role Purpose

The Assistant Product Manager will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of assigned therapeutic segments. This role focuses on converting medical knowledge into effective promotional tools, ensuring the field force is technically proficient, and maintaining a competitive edge through rigorous data analysis and strategic planning.

Core Responsibilities

  • Field Force Training & Technical Support: * Conduct comprehensive product training sessions for Sales Promotion Officers (SPOs) and Area Managers.
  • Develop training manuals and "frequently asked questions" (FAQs) regarding clinical data and indications.
  • Product Selection & Portfolio Development: * Research and recommend new molecules or line extensions based on market gaps and healthcare trends.
  • Work closely with the R&D and Regulatory departments to ensure product feasibility.
  • Literature & Visual Aid Designing: * Conceptualize and oversee the design of medical literature, including Visual Aids, Leave-Behind Leaflets (LBLs), and detailing folders.
  • Ensure all promotional materials are medically accurate and compliant with local regulatory standards (DRAP).
  • Product Positioning & Branding: * Define the Unique Selling Propositions (USPs) for products against key competitors.
  • Develop clear brand messaging that resonates with healthcare professionals (HCPs).
  • Strategic Promotion Planning: * Draft and execute the annual marketing plan and promotional budget.
  • Organize and manage Round Table Discussions (RTDs), seminars, and medical conferences.
  • Competitor Activity & Analytical Statistics: * Perform quantitative analysis of market trends using IMS/IQVIA data or internal secondary data.
  • Monitor competitor pricing, sampling strategies, and promotional activities to provide monthly counter-strategy reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: B. Pharmacy, Pharm-D, or a BBA/MBA with a strong background in Life Sciences.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in Pharma Marketing.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for statistical analysis and PowerPoint for training presentations.
  • Creative Oversight: Ability to draft "Design Briefs" for agencies and review medical artwork for clarity and impact.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze prescription audits and market share data.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs300,000.00 per month
