Summary
Phaedra Solutions is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Associate Business Developer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for individuals with up to 1 year of professional experience who want to build a career in business development. You will be actively involved in identifying leads, establishing strong client relationships, supporting proposal development, managing the sales pipeline, and assisting in revenue growth initiatives. Working closely with senior team members, you will gain practical experience in client acquisition, negotiations, and market research while contributing to the company’s expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Lead Generation
- Research potential clients through online platforms, industry directories, networking, and social channels.
- Generate qualified leads via marketplaces (Upwork, Fiverr, etc.) and outbound campaigns (emails, LinkedIn, calls, events).
- Expand and maintain an updated database of prospects.
Client Communication & Relationship Management
- Initiate and handle professional conversations with prospects.
- Develop long-term client relationships built on trust and credibility.
- Prepare and share proposals, follow-ups, and presentation decks with clients.
Pipeline & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client interactions in CRM tools.
- Monitor sales activity, track progress, and share regular reports with management.
- Ensure all communication and opportunities are properly documented.
Meetings & Presentations
- Organize and participate in client calls, demos, and meetings.
- Prepare agendas, presentations, and follow-up reports.
- Support senior colleagues during client negotiations.
Market Research & Business Insights
- Conduct industry research and competitor analysis to track trends.
- Share insights on new markets, potential clients, and partnership opportunities.
- Provide data-backed support for sales strategy.
Proposals & Documentation
- Assist in drafting proposals, RFQs, and RFPs.
- Work with technical and marketing teams to prepare tailored pitches.
- Keep standardized proposal templates and documentation updated.
AI Tools & Automation
- Use AI-based tools to personalize outreach and streamline follow-ups.
- Leverage productivity platforms for reporting and data analysis.
Collaboration & Team Support
- Coordinate with marketing to align campaigns with sales targets.
- Work with technical/product teams to ensure accurate client solutions.
- Provide administrative support to streamline sales operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in sales, marketing, or business development will be an advantage.
Skills
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of CRM tools (preferably GHL & ClickUp).
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, automation, and AI tools.
- Strong understanding of the sales cycle and client engagement.
- Confident negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Analytical mindset with good research skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Experience
- 6 months – 1 year of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Client Relations.
- Internships or academic projects related to sales/marketing will also be considered.
