Toyota Garden Motors seeks a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to lead and oversee the service department. This role requires managing a team of 60 personnel, maintaining high standards of service delivery, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate holds a Polytechnical Diploma in Automobiles Engineering and possesses a minimum of three years running a reputable dealership as a Service Manager. Demonstrated expertise in team leadership, communication, and collaboration is essential to effectively coordinate technicians and maintain operational order.

The Service Manager is responsible for driving service efficiency and quality while fostering strong relationships with customers and colleagues. The candidate must possess knowledge of sales and marketing techniques to attract new clients and boost monthly revenue. This position demands a strategic approach to service management, balancing technical oversight with business development objectives to support Toyota Garden Motors' growth and reputation in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a service team of 60 staff members, including technicians and support personnel, to achieve departmental goals.
  • Ensure all service activities comply with company standards, maintaining a high level of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate daily operations of the service department to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of service jobs.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control measures within the service department.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels within the team and across departments to encourage collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Manage technician performance by providing coaching, training opportunities, and performance evaluations to foster professional growth.
  • Monitor and control service department resources, including manpower, equipment, and inventory, to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Analyze service reports and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Utilize sales and marketing strategies to attract new customers, retain existing clients, and increase monthly service sales.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to design promotions and service packages that align with customer needs and business goals.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of service records, customer transactions, and warranty claims in compliance with company policies.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Prepare monthly and annual service performance reports for senior management review.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance service quality.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the availability of quality parts and materials.
