Barista

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Experience Barista to join our café team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and experience in and beverage preparation. As a key member of our team, you will create a welcoming environment for customers while ensuring high-quality beverage service. Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and specialty drinks using standard recipes and equipment.
• Operate POS systems such as Square, sales, and cash handling.
• Manage customer orders efficiently, ensuring timely service during busy hours.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities.
• Ensure food safety standards are met by following proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including serving light snacks or baked goods.
• Engage with customers to provide exceptional service, answer questions about menu items, and promote sales.
• Manage time effectively to balance multiple tasks during shifts while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

• Previous barista experience or background in the food service industry is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Square
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and café operations.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in coffee preparation, serving, and retail math is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role.
