Business Development Executive – Freelancing Platforms

Salary: Rs. 60,000 – Rs. 100,000
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Shift Timings: Rotational (Day/Night Shifts)

About the Role

We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Executive with proven experience on freelancing platforms such as Upwork, Fiverr, and others. The ideal candidate will be responsible for client acquisition, proposal writing, and maintaining strong communication with clients, while collaborating with our in-house development team to ensure successful project delivery.

This role is ideal for someone who understands the software development lifecycle and can confidently communicate solutions to international clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities on platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, and others
• Write customized, high-converting proposals for web and mobile app development projects
• Manage client communications from initial contact to project completion
• Collaborate with design and development teams to ensure project alignment with client expectations
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and project timelines to secure profitable deals
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to pitch relevant solutions
• Research competitors and contribute to improving our service offerings

Requirements

• Proven track record of winning projects on Upwork, Fiverr, or similar freelancing platforms
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong understanding of sales, client handling, and closing techniques
• Familiarity with frontend and backend technologies (e.g., React, Laravel, Node.js, Angular)
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced software house environment
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a business development role within a tech company or software house
• Basic knowledge of digital marketing concepts such as SEO, paid ads, etc.
• Experience using CRM tools or sales tracking software is a plus
