Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the general ledger usingQuickBooks accounting software
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and promptly
  • Prepare journal entries for various financial activities in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger account analysis to verify data integrity
  • Manage payroll processing and related tax filings with precision and timeliness
  • Assist with governmental accounting requirements and non-profit accounting procedures when applicable
  • Support budgeting processes through accurate data entry and financial report writing
  • Ensure compliance with financial concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation procedures
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable functions while maintaining detailed records of all transactions

Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks
  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and governmental or non-profit accounting standards
  • Experience with GAAP compliance, balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and technical accounting practices
  • Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, journal entries, and account reconciliation tasks efficiently
  • Knowledge of payroll processing, tax experience related to payroll taxes, and government reporting requirements
  • Familiarity with financial concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and financial report writing
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills for managing multiple accounts simultaneously
  • Capable of performing 10 key typing quickly and accurately for data entry purposes
