Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accuracy across all accounting processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and supporting compliance efforts. A QuickBooks whiz!

Responsibilities

Record Keeping: Accurately record all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and payments.

Ledger Management: Maintain and update general and subsidiary ledgers to ensure complete and accurate financial data.

Financial Statement Preparation: Generate key financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial records regularly.

Data Entry: Input financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets with precision and timeliness.

Payroll Processing: Assist in processing payroll, including calculations, deductions, and timely disbursement.

Tax Filing Support: Aid in the preparation of tax filing documents

Budget Monitoring: Track budget performance, identify variances, and report findings to management.

Inventory Management: Support inventory tracking, valuation, and control processes.

Accounts Receivable & Payable: Manage invoices, dues collections, bill payments

Internal Communication: Collaborate with leadership, CPA, and other colleagues

Qualifications

Proficiency in QuickBooks : 3-4 years prior QuickBooks experience

Strong Math Skills: Bookkeeper needs to be comfortable with basic arithmetic and be able to perform calculations related to financial transactions.

Attention to Detail: Accuracy is paramount, so the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in financial data is critical.

Organizational Skills: Bookkeepers must be able to keep records organized, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

Communication Skills: Effective communication with clients, colleagues, and vendors is important for explaining financial information and addressing inquiries.

Time Management: Bookkeeper must be able to prioritize tasks, manage their time effectively, and meet deadlines.

Problem-Solving Skills: Bookkeeper may need to identify and resolve issues related to financial data or transactions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
