Business Development and Sales Assistant - Bidding and Upwork

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Assistant (BDM) with proven expertise in B2B sales, Upwork bidding, and LinkedIn proposal management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and driving revenue growth through effective bidding, proposal writing, and strategic sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify and target potential clients through Upwork, LinkedIn, and other B2B platforms.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads.

Bidding & Proposal Management

  • Prepare, customize, and submit winning proposals on Upwork and LinkedIn.
  • Ensure proposals are tailored to client requirements and highlight company strengths.
  • Track and follow up on submitted bids to maximize conversion.

Client Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Initiate conversations with prospects, conduct discovery calls, and understand client needs.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals effectively.

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, delivery) to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Provide regular sales reports and insights to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 1-2 years of proven experience in B2B sales and business development.
  • Hands-on experience with Upwork bidding and LinkedIn proposal writing.
  • Strong understanding of international markets and client acquisition strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge CRM tools and MS Office Suite.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in IT services, SaaS, or digital solutions sales.
  • Knowledge of lead generation tools and automation platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to craft compelling proposals that stand out in competitive marketplaces.
