Business Development Associate

India

We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven Business Development professional to join our Investment Banking division. This role focuses on identifying new collaboration opportunities with corporates, startups, and scaling companies across key sectors and geographies.

This is a client-facing role ideal for someone with strong industry awareness, relationship-building skills, and a proactive approach to sourcing new business.

Key Responsibilities:

Client & Market Origination:

  • Identify new collaboration and business development opportunities with corporates, startups, and high-growth companies.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential clients through proactive outreach, research, and networking.
  • Track market activity, sector trends, and innovation hubs to identify new areas of opportunity.

Strategic Relationship Management:

  • Coordinate with founders and their teams to ensure consistent engagement and long-term relationship development.
  • Support the organization of client meetings, networking events, and ecosystem engagement initiatives.

Go-to-Market Strategy:

  • Work with internal teams to develop targeted outreach campaigns by sector and geography.
  • Support the positioning of the firm’s capabilities in new markets and emerging industries.

CRM & Reporting:

  • Maintain up-to-date records of business development activities and client engagement in the CRM system.
  • Provide regular reporting on business development pipeline, conversion metrics, and market coverage

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related
  • 2–7 years of experience in investment banking, corporate banking, consulting, or a client-facing business development role.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Networking & Communication: Exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, investors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Sales & Negotiation: Proven ability to market and sell financial products and services, and to negotiate complex deal terms.
  • Strong understanding of investment banking and capital markets.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, CRM and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ).
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Travel: 20% travel included

  • Working hour: 10am – 7pm
  • Days: 5.5 Days (Alternate Sat and All Sun are off)
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional Communication & Convincing skills
  • Qualification: Bachelors or Masters from Marketing, Sales or related field
