One of our valued clients is seeking a dynamic, target-driven, and commercially astute Business Development Executive to drive revenue growth through new business acquisition, client relationship management, and the promotion of freight forwarding and logistics solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a proactive sales approach, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal operations teams to ensure excellent service delivery and sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in air and sea freight forwarding
- Generate qualified leads through cold calling, referrals, networking, and industry events
- Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Prepare and deliver customized sales presentations, proposals, and commercial solutions
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs
- Coordinate closely with operations teams to ensure seamless execution of customer requirements
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support business strategy and planning
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline updates, and client interactions
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates for management
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in business development or sales within the freight forwarding or logistics industry
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads, close deals, and grow client accounts
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently
